In this series of talks we invite scientists to explore the challenges, opportunities, technologies and methods relevant to studying the future of resource use. This includes topics such as circular economy, mining and critical raw materials. The aim is to share knowledge across Leiden University, TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam; to exchange ideas; and to support interdisciplinary discussion on the future of resources. 

Mike BuxtonIn the final talk of this season's Future Resources Lecture Series, Mike Buxton will give a talk about the role of the mining industry in sourcing metals for the energy transition. 

Mike Buxton is an associate professor at TU Delft and is currently Section Head for Resource Engineering. He worked for 16 years in the South African mining industry as an exploration and mine geologist on technical due diligence and business improvement. He will share his extensive knowledge on mining with us.
