Closing of the LDE CfS Circular Textiles Lab with a roundtable discussion

On July 1 the last session of the LDE CfS Circular Textile Lab took place in the form of a round table with three experts.

Roundtable Circular Textiles Lab

During the final session the seven students who worked within the theme of 'circular economy for the textiles industry' each had their individual thesis project, and in the final session they presented the 'red thread' through their findings in the form of a poster and engaged in a lively discussion with representatives from the academic field (Han Brezet), the industry (Peter Koppert, Modint) and the government (Stef Le Fevre, Gemeente Amsterdam). We are actively working on showcasing the result of their thesis on a webpage on our website.

Looking to the future: we actively collaborate with industrial partners for research and education. If you would like to discuss graduation projects, a collaborative graduation lab or research proposals feel free to get in touch with us.

The Circular Textiles Lab was a half-year interdisciplinary program for graduating master students at Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam, who all worked within the theme of 'circular economy for the textiles industry'. The overarching goal of the Lab was to encourage interdisciplinary research and support students in placing their master thesis in the broader context of the circular textiles economy. To do so we designed this program with lectures, exercises and discussions to encourage  knowledge exchange between the students and experts.
