Who are we?
The Centre for Sustainability Students Board is a student initiative appointed to be the student extension of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability. Centre for Sustainability aims to offer innovative and science-based solutions for circular economy. Read more about CfS here.
The CfS student board exists out of 6 students with different backgrounds, representing all three universities. Our common interest is to speed up the transitioning to a circular economy. We want students, researchers, companies and the government to join forces in a field where interdisciplinary collaboration is highly needed. We do this by organising events, in-house days and thesis markets where students gain interdisciplinary experience and meet future employers. We, our community, are the next generation sustainability professionals.
Availability:
- Biweekly meetings in The Hague
- 1 year commitment/ 6-8 hrs per week (February 2018 - January 2019)

Joining the LDE Summer Course at the WTTV Festival (14-22 July)

Additionally each member is assigned a specific function that comes with certain responsibilities and flexible tasks. We strive for diversity in national and educational background. 1. Treasurer
As treasurer you are responsible for the finances of the student board. You are in close contact with the finance department of the Centre for Sustainability. You keep track of the budget, the financial administration, the invoicing and you decide on our expenses. Some experience with Excel is preferred. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Decision-making
- Analytical mind

2. Communications & Community Manager
As communications & community manager you are responsible for our content and our community. You are also in close contact with the community, through Facebook and other social media. Creativity is a must! Educational posts, but also practical implementations. Whatever you think best engages or informs us students on circular economy topics. We are looking for someone with following qualities:
- Creativity
- Social media experience
- Writing skills
3. Marketing & Visual Designer
As marketing & visual designer you understand the power of good visual communication. You will think of strategic promotion campaigns and design materials that are in line with our brand identity while matching our different target groups. You will closely collaborate with the communications manager. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite
- Creativity
- Design-thinking
4. External Affairs Manager
As external affairs manager you are the main point of contact between the internal organisation and the external organisation. You aim to create strong ties with external parties such as companies, student organisations and non-profits. Think of networking with these organisations, discussing possibilities to cooperate in terms of in-house days, business cases, thesis markets or other events. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Broad network within the university and beyond
- Business-minded
- Networking skills
