Meet prominent scientists, our top students and known experts in the field of Circular Economy.

Last years, we have been working on building a network of scientists, students and experts involved in Circular Economy. It was and is a great journey to see so many people working on the transition to a circular economy.

We have seen that this transition asks for a close collaboration of different stakeholders. We need scientists - from students to professors - to close the knowledge gap. We need people from different organisations to get a better understanding of the main issues and to determine the focus of our research. And we need places where practice and science meet and work together on the main challenges of the new economy.

We want to help in this process by connecting different stakeholders with each other. During our network event, you get the chance to meet each other, exchanging experiences, learnings and knowledge.

During the network event we will have 2 inspiring talks, drinks and of course plenty of time for networking!

Our speakers:

Dick van Veelen - CEO VIS groep

Dick van VeelenDick van Veelen is an expert in the field of construction and installation technology and he will tell us from his experience, how scientists can be actively involved to develop knowledge for the transition towards a circular economy and an inclusive society.

Dick van Veelen is also partner of Cirkelstad

Phil Brown -Circular Product Design ResearcherPhil brown

His PhD research explores collaboration within circular networks. This builds upon his idea developed while participating within the Schmidt-MacArthur Fellowship program and his time within industry, specifically with the Better Future Factory and HSSMI. These combined experiences instigated his drive to write and secure funding for his own PhD research proposal.

Phil's core challenge and question is if the circular economy requires networked cross-sector & inter-organisational collaborations, how is this to be facilitated?
