Tackling Fixophobia

"Tackling Fixophobia" began in September 2024 and aims to explore how trust, acceptance, and repair-friendly behavior can be encouraged among all actors in the consumer electronics value chain. How can new marketing and service strategies, product design, circular business models, and legal and fiscal solutions contribute?

This project is a collaboration between Delft University of Technology, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Wageningen University, Maastricht University, and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
Co-financing partners include ATAG, Bang & Olufsen, Fairphone, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Stichting OPEN, APPLiA Netherlands, Techniek Nederland, the Versnellingshuis NL Circulair!, Bol, KPN, Accenture, Partners for Innovation, Stichting Repair Café International, iFixit US, the Dutch Consumers' Association (Consumentenbond), and NVRD.
In addition, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Rijkswaterstaat, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM), and Het Groene Brein have also joined the initiative.
