"Sustainable luminaire design” with Bianca van der Zande

The LDE CfS Talks are organized every second Wednesday. In this edition, Bianca van der Zande (Senior Application Scientist at Signify) discusses sustainable luminaire design. Take a look at the recording at the bottom of this page.

Short summary
Our economies, lifestyles, and systems of production and consumption are placing increasing stress on Earth’s natural systems, causing significant damage. We are already experiencing the consequences, and change is inevitable.

At Signify, we are committed to playing our part. But what does that look like in practice?

This presentation will highlight key aspects of Signify’s journey toward implementing circular design principles and sustainability in product development and end-of-life strategies. Through practical examples, we will explore how we are reducing the environmental footprint of our products and sharing the initiatives on remanufacturing services and design for recyclability.
