This NCR Theme Day on monitoring plastics in the environment will bring together a variety of different professionals, mainly Dutch-based academics, practitioners, NGOs and water authorities. Informed by several presentations, three main topics will be discussed:

  • Part 1: Why do we need plastic monitoring?
    Confirmed presentations by Rijkswaterstaat and The Ocean Cleanup
  • Part 2: How do we monitor plastics in the environment?
    Confirmed presentations by Stichting De Noordzee and Wageningen University
  • Part 3: What’s next? A glimpse into the future of plastics monitoring.
    Confirmed presentations by TU Delft and Plastiverse

In addition to the invited presentations, a poster wall will enable all participants to present their own research and activities, and encourage networking. Join this exciting day on December 7th, 2022, at Wageningen University! The exact programme will be announced in the coming weeks.
